Official advice was received yesterday by Mrs E. Btayte, of Pukekohe, that her fourth son, Sergt. Ernest Oliver Stayte, was killed in action in France on January 11th. The deceased soldier, who was 31 years of age, was a prominent cricketer and footbalhr in Pukekohe in his earlier days.
