The N.Z. Loan and M.A. Coy report as follows: On Thursday last, at Westfield, and at Waiuku on Saturday, we had average yardings. Best dairy cows and heifers £l2 to £l7 10s, others £8 10s to £ll 15s, bulls 7gns to 15gns, empty cows and heifers £7 to £8 17s 6d, good calves £3 to £4, others £1 15s to £2 18s, yearling to 18-months heifers £4 10s to £6 15s, yearling to 18-months steers £."> 5s to £7 12s fid, beef at Westfield quotations.
Mossrs Alfred Buckland & Sons Ltd.. report as follows : At Pukekohe on Monday we held a special horse sale. More than the advertised number came forward. The demand was slack. Values were on a par with those ruling at the Haymarket. On Wednesday at our weekly Westfield fat stock market our entry of fat cattle numbered 2J9 head, comprising 148 steers, 10K cows and heifers, and 3 bulls, There was a strong demand throughout, and last week's advance was easily sustained. Choice ox sold at £2 12s per 1001b, piime £2 8s to £2 lis per 1 OOlb, rough and plain beef £2 to £2 Is per 1001b, cow and heifer beef £2 to £2 7s per 1001b, steers ranged in price from £l2 10s to £22 l.is, cows andheifers £7 lGs to £lo 17s 6d. A lino of 40 cows and heifers averaged £l2 18s ild. Fat and young calves came forward in average numbers. Choice vealers sold at late values, unfinished and freshdropped were dull of sale. Runners made from £.'"> to £8 2s (id, heavy vealers £3 15s to £1 18s, medium £2 Lis to £.' l 12s, light £1 .is to £2 10s, small and fresh-dropped 3s to £1 Is (65 sold J. There was a moderate cup ply of lambs.
