PAPAKURA.
Official notice is given by the Papakura Town Board by advertise* ments in this issue relative to the appointments of Mr A. McVeagh and Mr W. Kowe as Banger and Dog Kegistrar respectively and parti* culars are further given as to the dog registration fees for the year 1918. The death took place at a private hospital in Auckland yesterday of a highly respected Papakura resident in the person of Mrs Carpenter, wife of Mr Walter William Carpenter, farmer, of Papakura. The deceased lady was 52 years of age She had been in indifferent health for some time lately. Much sympathy is ex* pressed for the widower and large family in their bereavement. Two of the deceased lady's sens are serving at the front.
