Mr Markwick suggested that "Smith woild be a better title and as he explained that Mrs Lynch would be in favour of this change he moved that Huia road should be called " Smith Avenue " which was unanimo sly agreed to. papakura's progress A scheme of enterprise, including the provision of a town water supply, the installation of electric light, the laying down of tarred macadam roads throughout the district, and the damming up of the upper reach oE the Pahurehuve to secure a permanent broad expanse of water in the place of the present mud flats, was brought forward and will be dealt with at a special meeting of the Board next Monday.
