PUKEKAWA

PADDY'S MARKET A Paddy's Market held at Pukekawa on 20th December resulted in the raising of a £IOO which sum is to be devoted to the Bed Crt ss and the Victoria League Funds respectively. The various stallholders did good business during the afternoon and early part of the evening. Later an auction, most capably conducted by Mr Dynes Fulton, of Tuakau, swelled the funds considerably. The surprise packet stall proved a gre> t attraction while the refreshment marquee which looked cool and pretty was very well patronised A short musical programme widen d during the evening added much to the general enjoyment. Items were kindly contributed by the)following Tuakau friends, viz., Mrs Taylor, M;r s Foulkes aud Mr Outred. The school children assisted with patriotic and action sougs and items were alsn rendered by local residents.
