ORANGE BLOSSOMS
COLLINS-MORLEY On Wednesday last at the Methodist Church, Pukekohe, Miss Ann Morley, daughter of Mr George Morley, of Pukekohe, was joined in matrimony to Mr Walter Collins, son of Mr John Collins, of Tuakau. The ceremony was coducted by the Rev. J. F. Martin and the church was most tastefully decorated by lady friends of the bride. Miss M. A. Boggs acted as bridesmaid and Corpl H. P. Collins supported the bridegroom as best man. The guests were entertained at the Carnival Tea Rooms after the ceremony when the usual congratulatory speeches were made. In proposing the toast of the happy couple, the Rev Martin referred to the honoured names on both sides and reminded the gathering that the bride was a neice of the Rev Dr Morley who had been one of the greatest forces in Methodism and also in the ecclesiastical life of the Dominion. The bridegroom briefly responded and proposed the toast of the bridesmaid, which was responded to by Corpl. Collins, who had recently returned from the front. The Rev L. Foulkes and Mr Claridge, of Tuakau, submitted the toast of the bride's and bridegroom's parent who had been residents in the district for half a century. The Empire and its soldiers was proposed by Mr Graham, o Tuakau, and responded to by the returned soldiers present. Musical items were rendered by Miss Boag, Miss Foulkes and Mrs Martin.
