NOTICE OF INTENTION TO BORROW HL'NUA (1917) SPECIAL RATING AREA LOAN OF £1,500 NOTICE is hereby given that it is the intention of the Franklin County Council, in pursuance and exerci»e of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1911, and Amendments thereto, and with the consent of the Governor-General in Council under Section 26 of the Appropriation Act, 1915, as gazetted on page 3173 of the N.Z. Gazette, 1917. to borrow the turn ofONETHOUSANDFIVE HUNDRED POUNDS (£1,500) for the following purposes:—

Reforming and metalling on Papa. £ kura to Hunua road, (Hunua Gorge and Williamson's Hill) 700 Legalisation and formation of road to Pollock's and others 100 Reforming and metalling Heald's road 50 Reforming and metalling Key street to Kelly's Bridge road 50 Reforming and metalling Creamery road 75 Reforming and metalling Stewart and Cowan's road 75 Reforming and metalling I'onga road 50 Reforming and metalling Hunua to Paparimu road 250 Forming Happy Valley road 100 Forming Otau road 50 Total of proposed loan £1,500 And, as security for the payment of interest, sinking fund and other charges on the said loan, to make and levy a special rate of one-sixth of a penny in the £ upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Hunua (1917) Special Rating Area of Franklin County hereinafter described.

The loan is for a period of 36} years at the rate of interest of £4 10s per centum per annum together with an additional charge to provide the necessary sinking fund. It is proposed to pay out of the loan the cost of raising the loan, but not the interest and sinking fund for the first year. HUNUA (1917) SPECIAL RATING AREA

All that area in the Auokland Land District bounded towards the north generally by the Manukau County, as described on page 1980 of the N.Z Gazette of 1915, from the southernmost corner of Section number 171, Hunua Parish to a point on the left bank of the Wairoa river opposite the northeastern corner of Section number 2, Otau Parish, thence across the said Wairoa river to the aforesaid corner; tbence again towards the north generally by Sections 86, 85 and 88 of Otau Parish to the public road at the southeastern corner of said Section 88; thence again towards the east generally by the public road forming the eastern boundary lines of Sections numbers 89, 00, 91.02 and 93 to the south-eastern corner of said Section 03; thence across the said public road to the southernmost corner of Section number 05a, Otau Parish ; thence towards the north-west, north and east generally by the said Section number ('.sa and the public road forming the eastern boundary line of Sections numbers 72, 71, 09 and 81a and by the western boundary of Section number lOSOtau Parish to the Mercer Riding boundary at the south-western corner of said Section 108; thence towards the east, south and west generally by the Mercer and Drury Ridings of Franklin County as described on page 3184 of the N.Z.
