DEATH OF MISS F. E. BAILEY, General syrnpathy throughout the district is extended to Mr Thomas Bailey, the genial proprietor of the Mauku Hotel, Patumahoe, in the bereavement that has befallen him in the death of his youngest daughter, Miss Frances Emily Bailey. ♦The deceased lady, whose bright and happy disposition made her a general favourite, was 25 years of age. A fortnight ago she was taken to the Auckland Hospital, at which institution she passed away on Christmas morning, the cause of death being gastritis. The funeral took place yesterday at the Otahuhu Roman Catholic Cemetery, the grave being alongside that of the late Mrs (ftailey. Prior to taking up his residence at Patumahoe Mf Bailey lived at Otahuhu, where he was a prominent member of the English Church choir.
