Taylor, Esq.. of Green Hill, Te Awamutu, for the sura of 800 guineas, and stood at a fee of 8 guineas ; dam, Dolly by Highland Willie, by Jock-o'-Hazeldene, and grand dam by Lord Derby (imp). Royal Marcellus has not yet been exhibited in the Show ring, but in the near future there is every probability that he will be given a chance to compete against all comers, as he is a horse of wonderful quality and breeding, and may be expected to gain Show ring honours. Intending breeders will do well to inspect stock sired by Royal Marcellus, which are now two years old, and yearlings. Good judges have expressed their opinion that his stock show promise of being second to none that have ever been sired in the district of Waiuku. Terms: Service Fee; Three Guineas. Ihe following is Heather Brae's show ring record:—As a two-year-old, Ist and reserve champion, Hawera; Ist and champion, New Plymouth. As a three-year-old, Ist and champion, Hamilton ; Ist and champion and winner of a 25 guinea silver cup, at Auckland ; Ist and reserve champion Cambridge. As a four-year-old, Jst and reserve champion, Auckland; 2nd Puke-kohe;l;-t and champion, Cambridge. At 5 years of age he was only shown once, when he was awarded the champion honours at the Waikato show at Hamilton. It will be seen that he has a show ring record bard to beat in the Dominion. Heather Brae possesses all the qualities of the modern Clydesdale, namely, plenty of size, leautiful quality, and great action. The services of this fine horse should be in great demand, as he is absolutely one of the best sires at the present time in the North Island. TERMS : £1 4s for single mares.
