PATUMAHOE.

The Glenbrook Musical Society are to give an entertainment in the Patumahoe Hall next Thursday evening. An attractive and varied programme will be submitted and a full " house " should be assured. Last Wednesday evening a most enjoyable social, organised by the Patumahoe Soldiers' Committee, was given in the Patumahoe Hall to Lieuts. Olive Wily and Hill, who were home on final leave. Mr W. Howard presided and there was a large attendance. Musical items formed the first portion of the proceedings and dancing followed. On the invitation of the chairman Mr R. W. Johns, in the name of the Committee, presented each o the officers with a wristlet watch and also, on behalf of Mrs Perry, asked their acceptance of a tobacco pouuh and pocket-book. Both recipients suitably responded.
