I have had a good deal of experience in the work of local bodies and I have been Chairman of the Waiuku Town Board since its inception. In that capacity I have been actively engaged in raising loans for the Town District and in the drafting of By-laws and I have frequently had occasion to visit Ministers of the Crown at Wellington in furtherance of the Board's projects, all of which, I would respectfully urge, has afforded me knowledge which could be used to your advantage. If honoured with your confidence I can assure you that I would strive to live up to my reputation of being a live and good worker and I would do my best to advance your interests in every possible way.
