MAUKU

The death occurred at Featherston Camp on Thursday last of Pte F. H. Oillon, second son of Mr E. Gillon, of Mauku. The deceased, who only entered camp as a member of the :Mth Reinforcements on the previous Thursday, succumbed to an attack of meningitis. He was 20 years of age and prior to enlisting was associated with his father in farming at Mauku. The body was brought through to Pukekohe this morning and the funeral took place this afternoon at the Pukekohe Cemetery with military honours.
