The Year's Doings. The second annual geaeril meet* ing of shareholders of the Waikato Cheese Coy, Ltd., was held in Hamilton on Thursday, 30th August. In moving the adoption of the directors' report and balance sheet Mr Wm. Goodfellow, managing director, congratulated members on the Company's progress, and gave a brief Tesume of the past season's work. The sum of £1535 llssd had been paid by way of butterfat tax It was expected a slight refund would be made by the Government, as the amount collected was more than required. Whey cream returned a very satisfactory figure, andpt was anticipated the whey butter would realise considerably more than the stock taking va'u-J. The usual depreciation of ten pir rent, on plant and five per cent, on buildings had been provided for. It was the object jf th» Directors to keep the a-nefs of the Company always worth 20s in the pound, and by this means chares could ba resumed at face value. A dividend of eight per cent, was declared snd it was decided to piy a progress bonus of 2d lb on the year's supply at once. Mr Goodfellow stated that it was not expected all cheese now in store would be exported before'he end of October. Arrangements had been made for cold storage b cover the coming season's requirements. Messrs G*>. H*U (Hairini), Wm. Brown (East Tamaki), Richard Waltere (Aka Aka) and V Thirwell (Matama a), were re elected Directors. After a number of questions had been satisfactorily answered, the meeting concluded with a vote of thanks to the Mauaging Director.
