Papakura Sale Yards.
[To the Editor 1 Sir, —Your correspondent " Friend" suggests that the present Town Board should resign as incompetent. By the tone of his letter I conclude he is a member of the so-called Ratepayers' Association—in other words, one of the fraternity of discredited local politicians. This party has been throwing dirt ever since they were ousted from office. It is becoming the joke of the township as everyone knows that the reforms brought about by the present Board were promised by the old party for years but were never matured. We also know that the cattle yards would have disappeared by now were it not for the obstructive influence brought to bear by this same defunct party of mud-slingers. Why do not they take their grae) like, sports and instead of pursuing their policy of obstruction do something to assist those who are more capable than they'?—l am, etc., RATEPAYER. Papakura, 9/9/17.
