OTAHUHU
An urgent appeal is being made by the W.C.T.U. for warm clothing for the brave mine sweepers, for the coming winter. The men are exposed to intense cold in small vessels working to protect our fleet and merchant ships from floating mines. The follow in g articles are required : Heavy underpants, heavy singlets (new or in good repair), sox, Balaclavas, mufflers, mittens, etc. Parcels may be left with Mrs Muir, Panmure road, Otahuhu, before the 25th September.
