GLORIA'S ROMANCE.

Tomorrow—Wednesday. To-morrow (Wednesday) evening marks the opening of the most popular and extravagant serial photo-play in the history of the film world, viz., " Gloria's Romance." In selecting Miss Billie Burke to play the part of Gloria the producers only enticed this charming actress to give up her music-hall work by the tempting offer of an immense salary. In fact, the passing over of all the genuine stars of the world's Film Firmament and seeking a star of stars from the legitimate stage is somewhat of a unique departure in Film History, the result of which has proven the good and keen judgment of the producers. When Miss Burke is seen in " Gloria's Romance " it will easily be observed that amongst all the beautiful artists who have ever appeared before us there is not one but who lacks just that something that Miss Burke possesses to make Gloria the huge success that she has rendered it. The first episode shows Gloria lost in the Everglades. The supporting star is entitled ". Somewhere in France " and features Louis Glanm who starred in " Tho Wolf Woman " shown in Pukekohe recently.
