GLORIA'S ROMANCE. Adyt. Tlie growth of a dainty girl from maidenhood to womanhood is a fascinating period of life's story and it is beautifully handled in Mr and Mrs Hughes film novel "Gloria's Romance." This ambitious undertaking marks a now era in tlio moving picture arena. I'iillio Jiurke is absolutely satisfying in every chapter and her characterisation of the " Mapper " stage of the lovely Gloria is full of winsomorioss find tomboy devilry. She is "up to something" every minuto of the time and the escapade which leads her into si.eli :i vv fill danger in this chapter is a characteristic piece of waywardness. The photograph yis marvellous. l'alni I'cach is known nil over the world as the last thing in seaside lu vury, but the wild nature of the swampy aud trackless everglades comes as a stir piise. The opening chapter will be screened at the Premier Hall, J'ukekohe, on Wednesday, August '22 nd.
