Messrs Turnbull and .Tones, Ltd , electrical engineers, have appointed Messrs Gallagher, Howe and Moore as their Pukekohe agents and Mr J Hart continues as their resident repsesentatiye in Pukekohe to supervise the work of carrjing out electrical installations with which they are entrusted. To encourage cash trading and delivery of goods over the counter, thereby avoiding charges incidental to deliveries by cart, Messrs Frank Perkins and Co., of Pukekoh«, announce by advertisement in this issue that having installed the very latest type of cash register they will allow a discount of two-anda half per cent on all cash register dockets, no matter of what amount and in all departments at their store. The Misses Lila and Alma Donahoe, who have recently resigned their appointments as members of Mr W. Koulston's staff in Pukekohe, wem entertained last Saturday evening by the employees of the firm at a farewell social held in the Carnival Tea Rooms. A personal presentation was made them by Mr W. Boulston, who also, on behalf of the employees, asked Miss Lila Lona hoe's acceptance of a manicure set and her bister of a bedroom clock. A progressive euchie comjetinon was taken pait in, Miss Ivy Hi own proving the winner. Various members of the staff contributed niusiciii items and a most enjoyable evening was spent. Several Church members and friends assembled at the Oddfellows' Hall, Pukekohe, last evening when another social evening took place under the auspices of St Andrew V Church Choir. The Natural History competition provided gieat amusement and tho prizes were won by Miss G. liilkey and Master Fred Payne. Cards were played ami musical items and games provided an excellent evening. Supper was supplied by lady members of the Church.
