DEATH REPORT INCORRECT

Corpl. Clive Johns. The officially reported death in action on June 7th, as chronicled in our issue of Tuesday last, of Corpl. A. Clive Johns, a member of a wellknown Pukekohe family, has fortunately proved erroneous. On Friday last a cablegram was received by his relatives from the supposed dead man which read as follows : "Recovering fast; almost well again" and yesterday a correction came from the Defence Department that instead of being killed Corpl. Clive Johns was "wounded in shoulder and in hospital in France."
