WELCOME TO MR MASSEY

The Pukekohe Banquet. Fixed For Monday, July 9th Owing to pressure of official duties the Rt. Hon. W. F. Massey will not be able to visit Pukekohe until Monday, July 9th, for the welcome to be accorded him by the people of Franklin on his return from England to New Zealand. On that date a banquet will be held at G p.m. iu the Premier Hall and it is anticipated that several Cabinet Ministers and other Members of Parliament will also be present on the occasion. Provided his engagements permit, Sir Joseph Ward has also accepted an invitation to attend.

The musical portion of the proceedings will be supplied by the Lyric Quartette. Dinner tickets have been fixed at 15/-each and as their issue will be limited preference of issue will be given to applications in th 6 order received. Tickets may be obtained of any member of the Franklin County Council or of the County Clerk (Mr A. P. Day), County Chambers, Pukekohe.

Messrs Andrew and Andrew have arranged to run a motor-bus from Auckland to Pukekohe and back to the city in connection with the banquet, subject to seats being reserved beforehand.
