RIFLE SHOOTING MATCH. On Saturday last, June 16th, a very enjoyable match took place between the Mangere and Waiuku Eifle Clubs on the Penrose range. The visitors made the trip by launch and were met at Onehunga by members of the Mangere Club and driven out to the range. They were entertained at lunch on the range and after the match driven to Mr Richard's Hotel, where a good dinner awaited them. The match consisted of seven shots each at 200, 300 and 50Cyds figure targets and resulted in a win for the home team by 50 points. During the day the wind blew fairly steady up the range, but a dull and rapidly failing light caused many low scores. The following are the details of the scores all the men competing and the ten best scores counting, viz :
