"MOVIE" PARADE.
NEW WAR PICTURES AT FEATHERSTON CAMP. Many and varied are the parades that men in camp are called upon to attend. There are, of course, the usual morning and afternoon parades for drill, parades for night operations, and route marches, bathing parades, dininghall parade, shower parade, church parade, inoculation parade, sick parade, but until recently a "picture parade"' was not expected to make its appearance on the syllabus. Rumour, however, had been busy for a few days, and contrary to the usual experience, proved to be a founded fact. By tho efforts of tliK Y.M.C.A., assisted by tho Government, arrangements had been made for a free exhibition of a new series of war pictures, showing the British war machine from tho time the men start their training until they reach the front-lino trenches. The Government had stipulated that this film was to be shewn to the men in camp before reaching the general public. These pictures now form the latest topic of conversation, those who were privileged to attend the packed theatre giving their less fortunate comrades some idea of what they missed. Two similar "parades" were, ordered for the following day for the benefit ol the men at Tauiierenikau, the men marching into the main camp at the specified hours under command of their officers.
