A most successful concert in connection with the Papatoetoe Band of Hope was held in St John's Hall on Wednesday of last week. Solos were rendered by Misses McGuire, Fraser and Galloway ; duets by the Misses Feist and Miss M. Daisley and Miss Stones ; a humorous song by Mr Jack Gordon; recitations by Miss Lulu Hunter and Bex Leonard; a dialogue entitled "Dr Brown" by Miss Hunter and Mr Harry Barton ; and pianoforte solos by Miss Hallbury and Miss Matuschku and Mi«m Swaffield. The programme concluded with a display of waxworks by Mrs Feist.
