FACTORS TO HEALTH.
Tho sensible business woman knows well enough tho value of good health if work is to l>o properly done, and she cares for her health as s>he would for a gem; but the business girl is often very careless of her health, and for tho sake of wearing a pretty blouso runs the risk of a great deal of coldcatching, and is apt, besides, to be injudicious in her choice of a lunch. Plenty of sleep, nutritious food, and out-of-door exercise, 'n a moderate degree, are conducive to good health, and tho worker should continually endeavour to get these. Sleep iy at the head of the list. One can do withouiS exercise for a. considerable time without any marked difference in the physical condition; one can subsist on "trashy" food for months without breaking down; but a few n'ghts without sleep will bring one to the verge of prostration. Nevertheless, fresh air and good substantial food are both important to the preservation of health, for although one •an do without food of the proper staminal quality and air of the freshest for a time, without noticing any startling change in the physical condition, eventually the lack of them will bringinertia, mental sluggishness and physical debility. Splendid vitality is a requisite for mental proficiency and alacrity, qualities which ;:re, naturally, greatly influenced by physical depression.
