DOUGHNUTS MADE WITH POTATOES.
A housewife's wipe for doughnuts ma do with potatoes is worth passing on. The ingredients are Four tablespooufuls of butter, one cupful <v.ch of mashed potatoes, milk, and sugar, two egti". three teaspoonfuls of baking powder, (lour enough to make all 'vto a soft donirh, and a flavouring of any spues preferred. Cream the butter, add the sugar, the oi'trs (beaten), and the potatoes; then add the milk, and sifr in the dry in.'rodients: turn the dough on to a (lowered board, pat and roll it into n -lab half-an-inch thick, and cut out rums the size of the top of an egg-cup ,„• | ; ,rger. Then fry fee dough-nuts in boiling fat.
