The facts are as follow : -Three young labourers were charged with a trifling assault, <m the pres'dent asking one of them, Wilhclin Gobel, a lad of 10. why the third accused man was not in court, he answered, 'With the meaning, ol course, that he was at tho front. '•The iudgo therefore sentenced Gobel to four days' imprisonment for making uo of insulting language in court.
