"Mr .Collin'." said the exatnin'ng lawyer, "you know the defendant in the ' 'ase. do you not? ' "Oh. vim," answered Collins. "What is his reputation for veracity ?" cent in ued the lawver. "Is he regarded as a man who uevei tells thf* truth?" " Ward. I can't sav that he don t never fell the truth." r>p'ied Steve, "but I do know that if he wanted his hogs to come to dinner fio'd haw to git somebody else to call em !
