Particulars will be found in an advt in this issue of a sale of household furniture to be held on Saturday next at the residence of Mr J. G. Russell, Harris Street, Pukekohe. Pupils desiring of attending an afternoon class for instruction in shorthand and typewriting are requested to communicate with Mr J. Bellhouse, the local superintendent of the Pukekohe Technical School. For the purpose of a Roll of Honour being compiled, containing the names of all residents of Pukekohe who have enlisted, relatives and friends of soldiers are asked to forward to the Town Clerk particulars of names, etc. As the result of the " At Home " on the Pukekohe Bowling Green on Saturday promoted by the Pukekohe Branch of the Women's Patriotic League in aid of the Y.M.C A. war appeal fund the sum of over £l9 was collected. There was a large attendance and addresses appropriate to the occasion were delivered by the Mayor (Mr H. G. R. Mason), Mr F. Perkins (President of the Bowling Club), and Mr E. Allan. Musical selection were contributed by the Misses O'Connor (2) and M. Woods, Mr Hindman, and Master F. Payne. The gate money amounted to £7 8s 9d, and the following donations were also received, viz: R. F. Webster, £•5; J. W. Johns, A. B. Barter, H. Stuart £1 each; Mrs Ivan Motion, Mrs Willis, senr, Miss Willis and Mrs John Schlaepfer 10s each ; Mrs Tomlin, Miss Wilkinson, Mrs Luxford, A. Grigor and A.
