FRANKLIN COUNTY FINANCE.

At the meeting of the Franklin County Council on Thursday last the Clork (Mr Alan P. Day) reported the position of the various accounts of the Council to be as follows:

County Fund Account total debit balance £1238 10s -Id. Accounts now payable from this account amount to £lll7 13s sd. Loan Accounts: The following aro the credit Bank balances on the various Loan Accounts, viz: Hill District (No. 2) Loan £275 Is 7d; Hunua Riding roads loan, £3l 6s 9d; Pratt's Ilill deviation loan, £427 17s Id ; Needles wharf loan, £2O 18s 3d; Brown's road (Tuakau) loan, £304 8s 9d ; Hogwoods's Deviation loan, j£l3 8s os.

Accounts payable are allocated as follows:—General account including crushing plant expenses and plant and machinery, £405 19s 3d ; Awhitu Biding, £ll7 2s lid; Drury Riding, £74 17s Id ; Hunua Riding, £65 2s7d, Mauku Riding, £36 8s 7d; Mercer Riding, £59 17s Id; Pukekohe Riding, £B9 lsGd; Waipipi Riding, £74 17s 9d ; Waiuku Riding, £2O 16s 2d; Government grant accounts, £54 17s ; Interest accounts, £llß 13s 6d. Total county fund account, £lll7 13s od. Brown's road loan, £sl 2s Id. Hill district (No 2) loan, £lO4 16s od. The report was adoptod.
