BUCKLAND.
WOMEN'S PATRIOTIC LEAGUE
At tho last meeting of tho Buckland Branch of tho Women's Patriotic League Mrs Waterhouse presided and nine ladies wore present. Tho chief business was the packing and forwarding of goods for sale at tho Victoria League's Pod Cross shop, Auckland. Two boxes and fivo bags of produce, etc,, were forwarded, aud tho following contributed goods to same : Mesdames W. Jackson, E. Bilkep, N. -Tamieson, E. Neal, W, Waterhouse, 1). Hamilton, A. Hewitt, Harper, McKeau, Barber, li. Johnston, Greenaw.iy, Avery and Milroy.
Socks, etc., were made by Mrs Driver, nine pairs: Mrs McKean, seven pairs and one cap; Mrs Walker, four pairs ; Mrs Johnston, 3 pairs ; Mrs Harper, two pairs; Mrs Barber and Miss Johnston each one pair. (.fifts were reported as follows: — Dominion Gift Fund: Mrs J >. Hamilton, 1 Us; Mrs J. K. Hamilton, 7s 6d; Mrs Hewitt and Mrs J&mieson os each, Mrs Wily, Mrs Jackson, Mrs {Smith, Mrs Johnston, Mrs Driver, Miss Allen, Mrs Neal, Mrs Waterhouse, and Mrs King 2s 6d each.
Wool Fund : Mrs J. K. Hamilton 9s Gd, Mrs Milroy and Mrs Hewitt 5s each, Mrs Zimmerman 3s, Mrs Inglis, Mrs Civil, Mrs Walker, Mrs Driver, Mrs Jamieson, Jand Mrs King 2s 6d each; Mrs Whitmore 2s; Mrs Jackson Is.
Red Cross: Mrs Hewitt 7s, Mrs Driver ss, Mrs Neal and Mrs Harris 2s 6d each, Mrs Walker 2s.
