FRANKLIN COUNTY COUNCIL Adjusting Representation in the Council. NOTICE is hereby (riven that at a Special Meeting of the Franklin County Council, held on Thursday, the Ist day of March, 1917, a resolution was passed in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on the Council bv Section 23 of the Counties Act, " 1908, revoking the I present division of the County of Franklin into eight Ridings and in lieu thereof dividing the said County into nine Hidings to be railed respectively Awhitu Riding, Waipipi Riding, Waiuku Riding, Mauku Riding, Pukekohe Weet Riding, Pukekohe Etst Riding, Mercer Riding, Drury Riding and Hunua Riding and providing that the said Franklin County Council shall consist of nine members and that each Riding shall elect one Councillor, the alterations proposed to take effect on and after the 23rd day of October, 1917, and such resolution will be submitted for confirma'ion as a Special Order, at the ordinary meeting of tbe Council to be held on Thursday, the 3rd day of May, 1917, at the Council Chambers, Hall street, Pukekohe. A copy of the proposed Special Order and a map showing the new riding boundaries is deposited at the Office of the Council and will be open to the inspection of the public during office hours from the 11th day of Ap il, 1917, until the 2od day of May, 1917.
