Ladies and Gentlemen, In asking you to honour me by electing me as your Mayor for the next two years I desire to say that you can depend that, if elected, I shall do my best to advance your interests in every possible way. I am making arrangements to engage an assistant for my Veterinary practice whereby I shall be enabled to devote adequate time to the conduct of business in the Council Chamber and also to freely identify myself with Patriotic and Social functions as, in my opinion, a Mayor should do, If eleoted, my aim will be to bring about PROGRESS and EFFICIENCY, combined with ECONOMY.
