FLAT BUSH.

SUNDAY SCHOOL ANNIVERSARY. The Anniversary Services of the Flat Bush Methodist Sunday School were held on Sunday, Ist inst., but owing to the inclemency of the weather the attendance were not so large as usual. The Rev. W. G. 81ade, M.A., preached in the afternoon and Mr Parker in the evening.

The anniversary social was held in the Church on Tuesday evening, the 3rd inst. The building w«s filled to oveiflowing and everything passed off successfully. The chair was occupied by the Rev Slade who gave a shoit addiess and also two violin solos, Misa Campbell acting as accompanist. The programme included selections by the'choir, an organ solo by Mr David Archibald, jr., a duet by Mrs C. Wood and Miss Archibald a solo by Mrs Bellingham and recitations by Miss Daisy Stancombe and Master Arnold Hemming. An interesting item was a dialogue entitled " The Cable " by the followiog boys, John Archibald, Leslie Hammond, Leslie Wood, Charles Archibald and Selwyn Hammond. After the distribution of prizes, Mr Farnsworth gave a short humorous speech. Supper was then provided and afterwards the Superintendent proposed a vote of thanks to the performers The meeting was then clo led by the singing of the Doxology. A liberal collection was given in aid of the new organ.
