HE HAD ONE.
Timkins was one of those people wno live in constant dread of burglar*, and one day, so as to be prepared for all emergencies, he purchased a reyolvcr _ a nice, but comparatively harmless little weapon. "For Burglars" neatly engraved upon the butt. Timkins took great pride in his new toy; but one evening he forgot to take it upstairs with him when he went to bed. And, of course, it was during that night that a burglar did at last elect to enter his house. When Timkins came down next morning he found to his dismay that nearly all his valuables had gone. The treasured revolver, however, had been spared. It lay on his study table, and beside it was a note. "Thanks; but I always carry my .„„• The Bnr<?lar!"
