Meeting Adjourned. At this stage the meeting was adjourned

The section of the railway grade easement work between Takanini and Manurewa was used for the first time for traffic last Sunday. The alteration has entailed the provision of a new station a- few hundred yards to the north of the old station. On the new site the platform is of a substantial size, - but the station buildings have yet to be removed from their old position, temporary structures having been erected in the meantime. A start has, however, been made with the re-arrangement for goods accommodation, and the shell of the old goods shed has been shifted bodily—on trucks—to the vicinity of its new site.

The annual Vestry Meeting of St. John's Church, Onewhero, was held last Saturday night, when Mr. Geo. Willis (treas.) read the report for the past 12 months, which showed, after all expenses were paid, that a balance of £2B remained. This is the highest credit balance upon record. The Rev. L. Foulkcs thanked all for their kind help. The officers were then reelected, viz.: Mr. Geo. Willis (treas.), Mr. N. Cole-Baker (minister's warden), and Mr. (people's warden). Tho Vestry adjourned feeling thankful for the success of the past year.
