EAST TAMAKI.
Good progress has been made with the cutting down of the hill and the widening and reforming of Ellison's road. In a few days Messrs Burnside Bros., the contractors, will have the whole work completed Mr Roy Gilliard, son of Mr Charles Gilliard, who leaves for camp on April 10th, is an old East Tamaki boy, having been bom in the district 122 years ago. Up till lately he has been engaged on his father's farm. He has always been a keen sportsman, having been a member of tho Hunt Club for several years. About twelve months ago ho took up fanning near Hamilton, from which place he enlisted.
Ou Sunday next at Flat Bush Methodist Church at 2.30 p.m., there will bo a dedication service of the new organ. The Bev. Slade M.A,, will conduct the service and Mr Alfred Trenwith will preside at the organ. Solos will be rendered by Miss Edith Galloway. At the close of the service a retiiing collection will be taken up and the proceeds of the same will be devoted to the organ fund.
