PAPAKURA.
At the request of the AucWand Women's Patriotic League the Papakura League dispatched yesterday nine bags of vegetables, ten boxes of fruit, preserves and butter, together with a contribution of £3 for the benefit of the funds. Papakura has taken its shave in contributing to patriotic causes and the recent gifts from various friends are much appreciated by the League The death took place on Sunday last at Papakura of Mr P6ter Chisholm Sim, the eldest son of Mr and Mrs Sim, of Papakura. The deceased, who Jwas only 26 years of age, had been in indifferent health for some time. He was formerly a farmer at Ararimu. The funeral took place on Wednesday at Papakura, the Rev. Porter, Papatoetoe, being the officiating minister. Messrs Richardson Bros, carried out the undertaking arrangements.
