MANUREWA ROAD BOARD. The monthly meeting of the Manurewa Road Board was held in the offi eof the Board on Monday, oth March, at 8 p.m. Present : Messrs G. F. Druce (chairman), A. Muir, and W. Brown with the acting-clerk, Mr T. W. Bell. CITTING TIMBER. A letter was read from Mr Greaves requesting the Board's permission to cut timber on the road fronting Mr Le Petit's property. After consideration the Boatd decided to leave the matter in Mr C. Coxhead's hands, the member of the Board in whose district; the said road is. ROAD FORMATION. A letter from Mr Le Petit supplementing Mr Greave's application and requesting the Board to form an approach to his property from this road was dealt with in like manner. palmer's road. Mrs Palmer, of Weymouth, wrfrle asking as no blinding had been put on the scoria recently placed on her road, that the Board instead of blinding the 6coria should give her its equivalent value in scoria as it would be of more service to the road than blinding. The application was deferred, right-of-way. Oapt. Clayton wrote intimating that he had been in communication with Mr-Hills re right-of-way to his property and that Mr Hills was willing "to give a chain of his private roadway for that purpose. Ihe clerk was instructed to write Capt. Clayton to state that provided he*bore the expense in connection with the matter the Board would accept dedication.

Mr Brown also drew the attention of the Board to the unsatisfactory condition of the lower end of this road, suggesting that approximately twelve loads of ecoria were required before the wet weather set iu. The clerk was directed to have the work attended to.
