A CENTENARIAN'S DEATH.

The Late Mrs King. After having lived to celebrate her 101st birthday, Mis Charlotte Bair King, widow of the late Mr Philip H. King, passed peacefully away to htr rest early yesterday morning, at the residence of her son, Mr W. J. King, at Waiuku. The deceased lady, despite her great age, hpd enjoyed consistent good health until a few weeks sgo, and on the occasion of the last anniversary ot her bittb, viz., on January 11th, she received many visitors who called on her to offer her their congratulations 00 the event. A tew day<j later, however, weakness set in and the end came yesterday. Mrs King has six surviving children, twenty-seven grandchildren, forty-one great-grand childr n and two great-jjreat-grandcbildren. The funeral takes place at the Waiuku Cemetery to-morrow (Wednesday ). •
