Puni Hall.
| TO THE EDITOR] Sir, —I have been informed that a report is being circulated in Puni to the effect that I as a complete outsider voted at the recent meeting held on February Bth Although I feel sure that those who know me would not credit such a statement, I would be glad to avail myself of the publicity of your valuable paper to give this report a most emphatic denial as it is absolutely and deliberately false. Apart from the chairman's request that none outside the mile radius should vote, it would not have even occurred to me to do so as lam not a resident, and I attended the meeting for the same purpose as many other outsiders, solely to hear both sides of this vexed question Thanking you in anticipation, I am, etc., W. 0. PLEYDELL Patumahoe, 17th February, 1917.
