LOAN POLL FIXED. The poll of ratepayers in respect of the proposed loan of £6OO for the Hamilton deviation scheme has been fixed for Saturday, the 24th of March. SHEEP WOKKYING INCIDENT. A serious case of sbeep-worrying by dogs occurred on Mr George Logan'a farm last Saturday. Mr Logan was awav on Saturday and on his return on Sunday he found that his flock of 79 lambs on rape wtie in a sad way. Three were dead, some 30 were badly torn tbout, a, d the remainder we-e eo thoroughly frightened that th~y were tcattered about in all directions. It is stated (hat two dogs had been seen hanging round and their ownership if now the source of Keen enquiry. The appeal ot Mr Paul Gera&hty, of (Jnewheio, was heard yesterday at the Auckland Military Service Board at and on account ot undue hardship to his employer the appeal was adjourned sine die —♦■
