(See also paga 4.) DEATH OF PKIVATE J. C. SEATON.

We regret to record the death uf Piivate John Campbell Seaton, son of Mr Jas. Seaton, of Papakura. The deceased, who was 2G years of age, only recently went into camp as a member of the 24fh Reinforcements, and, illness developing, ho was on his way home on sick leave on Monday when ho had a relapse in the train between Taumarunui and Frankton Junction. At the latter station he was medically attended and was removed to the Hamilton Hospital, but death from gastritis ensued on Tuesday. Mr Seaton, senr., was wired for on Monday afternoon and at once proceeded to the hospital. Prior to enlisting Private Seaton assisted his father on the latter's poultry farm at Papakura

The funeral took place at the Papakura Cemetery on Wednesday.
