TUAKAU.

A serious accident occurred to Mr Walter Collins, orchardist, aged 29, at TuaKau yesterday. It appears that whilst at work he sustained an injury by tailing on the blade ct a scythe, the result being a severe laceration of the left leg. Medical aFsißtance not being available, Mr W. G. Graham, the schoolmaster, rendered first aid to the sulferer and took him by train to the Auckland Hopsital last evening, from latest reports Mr Collins is progressing satisfactory after having his leg stitched in ten places.
