Chandler, Messrs Alfred Buckland and Sons are to submit to public auction, on Saturday next, in the Waiuku Saleyards, a desirable homestead, with 29J acres, situated at Waiuku. At the Takapuna Jockey Club's race meeting on Saturday the Ferry Handicap, five and a half furlongs, value 16,5 sovs., was won by tho :} yoar old filly, Bellacity owned by Mr W. Claud Motion of Otaua. Messrs Roulston Broc (Pukekohe) 1 year old gelding, Bowler, started favourite for the event but was unplaced. On Monday, however, Bowler rau a dead heat for first place with Mr J. D. Kemp's (Awhitu) Last Call, in the Moana Handicap, seven furlongs, value 150 sovs.
