RUNCIMAN.
On the Main South road turnips are looking remarkably well, showing vigorous growth with firm body. Crops generally are clean, though absence of labour must be some excuse for slack-hoeing in the early season. Good belts of shelter—pinus insignis being common—give a healthy appearance.
