(By G. Thornton Bridgewater.)
Shall we be sad to-morrow, Christmas day ? Would you have us grieving, Thomaf Or shall our turkeys roast And our gla.ss be raised to toast The soldiers who are fighting 'cross th way ?
We think we liear you answer, "Raise the glass. And, as usual, lefc the festive season pass; Have your good old English dinner, For you know you've backed a winner,' And the battle's going on first-class."
"Here's to the Belgians, the Russians and French, "And our boys who are spending the dav in the trench."
