HUNUA.
On Sunday afternoon last in the Hunua Presbyterian Church a Roll of Honour was unveiled, bearing the names of men who had volunteered for active service. The sermon was preached by the Rev. C Porter, of Papatoetoe, who prefaced his remarks with an allusion to the German Peace offer. He stated that a man who preached or advocated peace at the present time was a danger to the community and that no peace should be acceptable to any loyal Britisher that did not involve the punishment and overthrow of that monarchy that has plunged the world into such misery and suffering. After the sermon Mrs Hill, an old resident of Hunua, unveiled the Roll of Honour which bore over 30 names,- some of whom have paid the great sacrifice. The service closed with the singing of the National Anthem.
