THE REPLY.
On the roll of honour of the Printers War Memorial in London stands th_> name of Staff-Sergeant Walter James Dennis, who died for his country in Mesopotamia on July 1. A printer s «ngineer by trade and 44 years of age, he was one of our voluntary soldiers.
When hi the Red Sea in February last he wrote some verses which show the fine spirit which animated him an J thousands like bun. We quote a lew of the linos
•What did you do in the great vae, daddy That i- the poster's appealing cry. That is tie question we'll have to answer
When we reach home again by and bv.
All that T did was my bit, my sonny, Not much to brag about, all said and done, T>ut my little bit and the bite of others Helped us ah.ng till the war was won.
Dennis will never roach homo, hut ho has done his bit.
