Manurewa Musical Society.
[TO THE EDITOR j
Sir, —1 am indeed very pleased to know that it took two "outsiders" to bring Mr Enos Pegler, the chairman of the Manurewa Musical Society, out of his hypnotic sleep and turusb into print, for now he has pledged bims-lf publicly to recognise the valuable services rendered by the Society's conductor, Mr H. V. Button, daring the past two years. Allow me to say tbat tbose "outsiders" will await with keen interest to know what the chairman intendß doing.
It is passing strange that the chairman should resent iuteferenre of "outsiders" after having clung to them for support for two years. 1 will venture to say, Sir, tbat it would have been a very poor Society without the "outsiders," and it is not the chairman who can take credit for any success the Society may have achieved daring its existence. —I aa,, etc.,
A. (J. MABEE. (For the "outsiders.") Manurewa, December 13th, 1916.
