RANGIRIRI.

FLAXMILL BURNED. On Monday afternoon a fire occurred by which the flaxmill of Messrs Dean and Patterson, situated on the western side of the Waikato rive»f immediately opposite the Rangiriri Hotel, was totally destroyed, resulting in a loss of about £BOO, upon which was no cover by insurance. The entire mill was burned down, including a shed in which was lying about six tons of dressed fibre, tbe only salvage consisting of the engine, which will have suffered considerably by its contact with the flames. In addition to the heavy loss sustained by the owners, this will cause a number of men to be thrown out of employment.
